Our life’s time is limited; we must intentionally create milestones with images that bring us joy

I met my wife, Noëlle, in 2010 and by July 2011, we were out in the sunshine under the outstretched branches of a hundred-year-old oak tree with all of our friends and both of our families, promising each other the best of ourselves. Our life’s journey has been more intense and beautiful than I could have ever imagined, and it has shaped our perspective and given us greater courage to pursue our dreams to the fullest.

Our two daughters, Isla and Lulu, keep Noëlle and me connected to what is real and most important: the love and support that helps us all grow as individuals evermore ready to take on life’s challenges and to better enjoy new experiences together. We are happiest when we’re on vacation, sampling new local cuisine and coffee shops, hanging at the beach, hiking through the mountain woods, and just generally spending our time together as a family.

Below are just a few of the images that bring me the greatest joy of my life. These photos have a value beyond words to me, as each is an invitation to a different memory of some of the recent experiences I’ve had with my family.

…Oh, and I’m a Photographer!

Needless to say, I’m obsessed with photography. I have always loved connecting with people through open, exploratory conversations. When you listen carefully enough, people’s stories move closer to their core truth, and the exchanges you have become deeply meaningful. Behind the camera, I watch carefully, patiently waiting to capture people’s unique character, mood and style in beautifully lit, natural looking photos.

I suppose it helps that it’s in my DNA. My great grandfather’s great grandfather was the highly successful daguerrotype photographer Abraham Bogardus, who founded the National Photographic Association and whose gallery and studio on Broadway in New York hosted U.S. presidents and senators, prominent artists, and business magnates like P.T. Barnum, all of whom trusted Bogardus Photographic & Portrait Galleries, where they commissioned their portraits with ol’ Abe!

Legacy aside, my success today is possible because people have trusted their most important lives’ events to our ability to tell their story together.

Life moves quickly; let’s create the most iconic images you could ever imagine!
